John Lyon’s Charity gives grants for the benefit of children and young people who live in our Beneficial Area. This section should tell you all you need to know about the Charity’s grant-giving policies and procedures.
Our grant-giving policy has remained largely unchanged since we started giving grants in the early 1990s. In this section you will find information about the types of organisations that are eligible for funding and the Charity’s mission and values.
Use this section to find out what we will fund. We categorise our grants into Programme Areas to show the range of the Charity’s giving and the Types of Support section is a useful guide to show what we can pay for, including salary and core costs.
The Charity operates six Grant Funds. You will find more information about the sorts of grants that are made under each Fund in this section.
We operate a two stage application process. Everything you need to know from First Steps through to the Second Stage Application Form can be found here.
This provides a detailed summary of the recent grants that we have awarded, listed by Programme Area. This section will help you to work out if your project is similar to something that we have already funded.
