As well as the school-specific grant funds, schools may also apply to the Main Grants Fund for projects that sit outside the Schools in Partnership or School Explorer Funds.
Applications for Main Grants are considered by the Trustee three times a year in March, June and November. Grants can be awarded for up to three years, subject to monitoring reports and the specific approval of the Trustee.
There is no maximum grant amount but you should apply only for what you need, supported by your budget. Grants are monitored on an annual basis and after 12 months for one-off grants.
For Main Grants there is a two stage application process. Click here for information on how to apply for to the Main Grants Fund.
All eligible organisations are free to apply to the Main Grants Fund, however, it may be necessary for the Charity to recommend applying to another Fund if more appropriate, the Small Grants Fund for example. Have a look at our Programme Areas to see some of the brilliant work with children and young people that has been funded by the Charity.
